OUR ROOTS
Uhuru Communications was started in 2000 and is a wholly black-owned communications consultancy based in the Western Cape. Uhuru means “Freedom” in the Swahili language.

BACKGROUND
Uhuru (Freedom) was chosen as the name for the company by its founders as a result of the historical position of the disenfranchised in the “old” South Africa.

The communications and advertising industry is presently dominated by those companies who enjoyed the privileges of the past. Uhuru Communications has accepted the challenge to become a key player in the industry and has grown organically without the assistance of financial resources or large contracts. All financial resources have been risked by the Directors.

The company is positioned to assist not only established corporates and various organisations in their communications and marketing but also to assist emerging small and medium enterprises to enter the market and improve their profile in the market place. Uhuru Communications was formed in 2000 and has steadily grown its resources over the past eight (8) years.

BIRTHING SITE
The Shaman have an enclave that doubles up as a birthing site. This is a sacred place. Our promise to our partners we view as sacred and never to be altered. We promise to deliver results that turn our partners’ vision into market value and/or increased market share. We are committed to deliver memorable events, tactical excellence in perception management and fluid brand-building concepts that position brands, and sell goods and services on behalf of our clients.
